Plaintiff was living with defendant and his wife in defendant's home, at 3100 Windish Street, Philadelphia. On the night of June 16, 1953, defendant ran amuck with a knife and killed his wife and their child and seriously wounded plaintiff. Defendant was subsequently declared to be insane and was committed to Farview
