By deed dated November 14, 1946, recorded four days later, W. D. Kendig and Helen Y. Kendig, his wife, W. R. Tanner and wife, and John D. Kendig, parties of the first part, conveyed to D. C. Tomlinson and Marie M. Tomlinson, parties of the second part, real estate in the town of Victoria, Virginia, known as the "Patrick Henry Hotel," which is the subject matter of this litigation.
