This appeal is from a judgment rendered in favor of plaintiff for personal injuries and property damages incurred on February 11, 1947, when his motorcycle ran into a hole in the pavement on U. S. Highway No. 167 in Union Parish, Louisiana. The Department of Highways has appealed and Hogg has answered the appeal for the purpose of securing an increase of damages.
