This is a contract action in which jurisdiction is based upon diversity of citizenship, the plaintiff being a citizen of New Hampshire and the defendants, partners in the brokerage firm of R. H. Johnson & Co., citizens of New York. The case was tried to a district court without a jury, and the court found for the defendants upon one aspect of the controversy and for the plaintiff in the amount of $6,000 upon another.
