The appellant W.L. Smith was employed by the water department of the City of Meridian on June 19, 1937, and continued to work under such employment until February 5, 1951, when he suffered a heart attack, which is shown to have occurred in the line of duty while he was undertaking to overhaul a feed water pump under the direction of the foreman in charge.
