By these mandamus proceedings the Tangipahoa Parish Democratic Executive Committee sought to compel its former officers "to deliver to relator the records and funds belonging to relator". After preliminary pleadings, on June 26, 1953, trial on the merits was held. On June 18, 1954, judgment without written reasons was rendered dismissing plaintiff's suit. From this judgment, plaintiff-committee appealed to this court.
