The decedent was employed as a dishwasher at the employer's summer resort hotel in the Adirondack Mountains. The property fronted on Blue Mountain Lake, extending along its shore line approximately one and one-quarter miles and out from the shore line about one quarter of a mile. Decedent was paid $40 a week, plus room and board. On June 29, 1948, while the decedent was using one of his employer's canoes for recreational purposes...
