This is a workmen's compensation case. H. E. Shiflet alleged that on March 16, 1953, he sustained total and permanent disabilities as a result of a back injury while working for Western Foundry Company in Smith County, Texas. In response to special issues, the jury found Shiflet to be totally and permanently disabled.
