This is a workmen's compensation case. H. E. Shiflet alleged that on March 16, 1953, he sustained total and permanent disabilities as a result of a back injury while working for Western Foundry Company in Smith County, Texas. In response to special issues, the jury found Shiflet to be totally and permanently disabled. The jury also found that a prior (and non-compensable) injury suffered by Shiflet contributed to his incapacity to the extent of 15...
