The indictment charged that defendant "on or about the 8th day of December, 1949, in the said County of Brooke, United States Currency of the value of $2833.33, of the money, goods, effects and property of one Eugene James Iacuone, feloniously did steal, take and carry away, against the peace and dignity of the State...
