Rich was charged by an information filed in the District Court of Cimarron County with the crime of molesting a child under the age of 14 years, in violation of the statute, 21 O.S. 1951, § 1123. The jury returned a verdict of guilty but were unable to agree upon the punishment to be assessed and the trial court thereupon sentenced the accused to serve the maximum sentence of five...
