Defendants James Franklin Wolfe and Joseph Johansen, while confined in Folsom State Prison serving life sentences, were charged by indictment with the murder, on May 8, 1953, of one Harold Stricker, also an inmate of Folsom, and in Count II with a violation of section 4500 of the Penal Code.
