This litigation, consisting of ten separate actions, grows out of an explosion and fire which occurred at the dock terminal of the Gulf Refining Company on the west bank of the Mississippi River, near Gretna, Louisiana, on May 11, 1952. All ten cases have been consolidated for the purpose of trial on the question of liability. The damage caused by the explosion and fire consists of three lives lost, three men injured, and considerable property...
