This suit in equity was brought for the purpose of having an instrument in the form of an absolute deed of conveyance construed as a mortgage. Plaintiff is the mother of defendant. In 1944 they were living, together with other members of the household, in Royal Oak. Some discussion between them with reference to the purchase of a home was had, finally culminating in an assignment to defendant of the vendee's interest...
