This is an eminent domain proceeding to condemn for freeway purposes approximately 17 (possibly 23) acres1 of land (designated in the complaint and herein as Parcel 2A) out of a 100-acre tract owned by defendants. The trial court ruled that by the taking of Parcel 2A defendants became entitled not only to the value of that parcel but also to severance damages, if any, to their remaining property.
