This was an action by the Sinclair Houston Federal Credit Union to recover sums of money totaling $27,686.20, which had been embezzled from it by its cashier, one George Cruse, beginning February 25, 1948, and continuing until the defalcations were discovered about February 13, 1949. It was alleged in plaintiff's petition that said sums, so embezzled, were by the said Cruse placed with E. L. Reese, an employee at the Sinclair Refinery, and that he thereafter...
