This is a condemnation proceeding brought by the city of Tacoma to acquire certain lands for street purposes. An order of public use and necessity was granted by the trial court, and the owners of the land in question obtained a writ of certiorari to review this judgment.

The city's petition for condemnation alleges that the lands in question are necessary for the construction of streets and approaches to be used as a vehicular traffic interchange...
