On May 18, 1945, Claude E. Bucksbee while operating a truck for his employer, the Crawford Beverage Company of Meadville, was involved in an accident with a truck owned by the Hull Resurfacing Company. He suffered severe injuries which resulted in his death on August 3, 1945, leaving to survive him a widow and two minor children.
