This action was brought by the wife for a divorce a mensa et thoro on the ground of physical cruelty. The husband denied this charge and interposed a counterclaim in the nature of a cross-action, wherein he sought a divorce a vinculo matrimonii on the grounds of physical cruelty and habitual drunkenness.
