This suit was brought by the appellee, H. R. Foster, to recover damages for personal injuries sustained by him when, at 5:37 p. m. on May 8, 1951, an automobile which he was driving in a westerly direction along Sixth Street in the town of Shepherd, Texas, was struck by the steam locomotive of one of appellant's regularly scheduled, south-bound passenger trains. Upon a jury's verdict, judgment was rendered in favor of appellee for the sum of $30...
