This is an appeal from a conviction of lewdness, the penalty being a fine of $750 fixed by the jury and a workhouse sentence of 11 months and 29 days added by the trial court.

The defendant filed a motion for a new trial upon numerous grounds, the first five complaining that the evidence does not support the verdict, and that it shows the defendant's innocence. The sixth complains of error by the trial judge in not requiring the State...
