Century Indemnity Company, issuer of a fidelity bond to Texas Bankers Investment Company, paid the investment company for losses sustained by reason of defalcations of Lattimore, local manager of the investment company at Longview. The indemnity company sued First National Bank of Longview, Texas, for $1,000 on a check in that amount issued by the investment company (by Lattimore, its local manager) payable to said bank.
