This action arose out of a collision between the Liberty-type steamship Calmar and an anchored mud scow at 11:43½ P.M. on the night of November 30, 1951, which occurred on the Horseshoe Bend of the Delaware River, approximately opposite the north end of Mustin Field, a part of the Philadelphia Naval Base.
