The defendant, George Jackson, together with William McWilliam and Albert Stubblefield, was indicted in the criminal court of Cook County for obtaining $1100 from Royal G. Madison by means of the confidence game. McWilliam and Stubblefield were not apprehended. Jackson was tried by the court without a jury, found guilty, and sentenced to imprisonment in the penitentiary for a term...
