Defendant was charged, in an information on January 22, 1954, with a violation under the Laws of 1910, 1941, and subdivision 5 of section 70 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of 1953, with driving an automobile while in an intoxicated condition — the latter amendment permitting the introduction of evidence of the amount of alcohol in the defendant's blood taken within two hours of the time of his arrest...
