The above claims arose out of an accident which occurred about 1:45 P.M., on November 17, 1951, on New York State Route 22 in the hamlet of Comstock, Washington County, New York, at or near the easterly approach to the bridge carrying such highway over the Champlain Division of the New York State Barge Canal.
