This action is brought by Carl Dauksch, plaintiff, against Harry F. Busey, Collector of Internal Revenue, to recover from the United States, the sum of $15,533.16, together with interest. The amount claimed arises out of deficiencies assessed by the defendant against the plaintiff on his income tax returns for the years 1945, 1946 and 1947. The deficiencies thus assessed were paid by the plaintiff and he made a claim for their return, which...
