These two suits are brought by the trustees of a purported liquidating trust for the refund of income taxes. The suit wherein the United States of America is the defendant is for $190,557.65 taxes paid for the years 1945 through 1948, plus interest from the time of payment. The suit against the Collector is for $70,921.23, representing taxes paid in the years 1949 and 1950, plus interest. The facts necessary to a determination of the plaintiffs...
