The purpose of this proceeding is purportedly to have this court declare the primary election laws of this state, which require a majority vote for the nomination of candidates by political parties for election to public office, to be in violation of Section 8 of Article 16 of the Constitution of this state, F.S.A., which provides for a plurality of votes in order for an elective official to be elected.
