Appellant, Richard D. Hines, instituted this action against the appellee, Thomas Jefferson Fire Insurance Company, for $1,292.24, alleging that the parties had entered into a settlement concerning a fire loss which he had sustained. The insurance company denied the execution of any such agreement.
