The Board of County Commissioners of Dona Ana County, appellee herein, instituted a condemnation proceeding against the appellant and others for highway purposes. By such proceeding it took from the appellant on November 18, 1948, some 88.805 acres of grazing lands in the form of a 150-foot strip of highway right-of-way that extends through appellant's property for a distance of between four and five miles.
