On November 7, 1951, plaintiffs and appellees herein, Anthony and Johanna Janesick, filed a bill in chancery seeking to have zoning ordinances 171-D and 180-E of the city of Detroit declared void insofar as they purport to limit the use of certain land owned by plaintiffs to residential purposes. They alleged that the ordinances, as applied to their property, were an arbitrary and unreasonable exercise of the city...
