An information was filed in the Circuit Court of Webster County charging defendant with murder in the first degree, to wit, with the murder of his wife, Altie Bledsoe. The cause went on change of venue to the Circuit Court of Dallas County, where defendant was tried and convicted of murder in the second degree and his punishment fixed at twelve years' imprisonment in the State Penitentiary.
