The defendant moves in this Court in arrest of judgment on the ground that the transcript of the record from the City Court of Raleigh filed in the Superior Court does not show on its face that a trial was actually had before the Judge of the City Court who was qualified and empowered to hear the case and pronounce judgment therein. And upon the further ground that the judgment as shown in the transcript was not signed by the Judge of the City Court...
