The attorney general instituted this action as the representative of the public interest in the protection of a testamentary trust intended for a public purpose. General Statutes § 212. The original defendants, each in the capacity of trustee, were eight individuals and the Central Hanover Bank and Trust Company, hereinafter called the bank.
