Charley Simpson petitions this court for a writ of habeas corpus and alleges that he is unlawfully imprisoned and detained in the state penitentiary under the authority of a judgment of the District Court of Ramsey County entered on November 19, 1951, sentencing the petitioner to be confined in the state penitentiary for not less than one year nor more than three years.
