V. L. Ridley brought suit in the district court of Rio Blanco county against William F. Young, seeking recovery of damages allegedly sustained for personal injuries, loss of wages, and hospital and doctor bills, in the total sum of $56,501.

It was alleged in the complaint that Ridley and Young were brothers-in-law; that they had undertaken to drive from Rangely, Colorado, to Amarillo, Texas...
