This is a suit by the appellee to recover for serious personal injuries sustained when he fell from a rice combine which the appellant was transporting by truck. The jury's verdict for the plaintiff, in the sum of $24,000, is not questioned as being excessive. It is contended, however, that the proof fails to show negligence on the part of the defendant and that even if negligence existed the plaintiff cannot recover for the reason that...
