Relator Leroy Goss seeks discharge from the State Penitentiary where he has served more than five years of a life sentence for robbery with firearms.

Under the law as set forth in Ex parte Erwin, 145 Tex.Cr.R. 504, 170 S.W.2d 226, he is entitled to his discharge because the statute does not authorize the punishment of imprisonment for life for robbery with firearms.
