. . . Decedent died testate on May 8, 1949. He left a will dated September 18, 1941, and two codicils dated October 25, 1945, and April 3, 1948, respectively. His will provided an income for his wife for life and directed:

"At her death all stocks, bonds, and savings accounts are to be turned into cash money and divided equally among my living sons and grandchildren.
