In this limitation of liability proceeding1 there was a judgment in the district court in favor of petitioner and against the two remaining claimants. The latter appeal.2

The claims arose out of a tragic marine mishap December 16, 1948 at the entrance of Manasquan Inlet on the north New Jersey coast. The commercial fishing vessel Ballantrae had been off shore in the Atlantic...
