Oliver Roberts (appellant herein) and Jackson Syas (who did not appeal) were charged in four counts, respectively, with (1) conspiracy to violate section 11500 of the Health and Safety Code, and three violations of that section, namely, illegally (2) transporting, (3) selling, furnishing and giving away, and (4) possessing heroin. It was alleged that each offense took place "on or about" April 3, 1951. A jury found both defendants guilty of each count...
