On July 28, 1942, plaintiffs, as the owners of the Jackson Park Theatre, located on Chicago's south side, commenced an antitrust suit under the Sherman Act, 15 U.S. C.A. §§ 1-7, 15 note, against five major producers and distributors of motion pictures, and a number of their exhibitor-subsidiaries owning theatres in the Chicago area.
