Appellant and respondent were opposing candidates for the office of alderman from the fifth ward of the city of Minneapolis at the general election held on June 8, 1953. Respondent received a plurality of 110 votes in the election. Thereafter, this proceeding was commenced by appellant seeking to have the election of respondent declared void for a violation of M.S.A. 211.08 of our corrupt practices act...
