The appellants were convicted of grand larceny in the Court of General Sessions for Marlboro County in February 1952, and were thereupon sentenced. Their counsel served timely notice of appeal and on March 8, 1952, served exceptions and, quoting from the record, "a proposed statement of the case," and requested extension of time for perfection of the appeal.
