DOBIE, Circuit Judge.

Gerard Hartzog instituted a civil action for libel, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of South Carolina, against United Press Associations. Upon the trial of the case with a jury, the District Judge directed a verdict for the defendant on the ground "that the plaintiff has not established actionable defamation as claimed by himself." Plaintiff has duly appealed to us.
