Lee Johnson, appellant, hereinafter referred to as defendant, was tried before a jury in the municipal criminal court of the city of Tulsa on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident in violation of Section 88 of city ordinance 6217 of the ordinances of 1951 of the city of Tulsa. The jury returned a verdict of guilty, but left the punishment to be assessed by the court, who assessed a fine of $69 and adjudged that defendant serve twenty days in the...
