Young sustained physical injuries as the result of being thrown from the rear seat into the meter and the back of the front seat of a taxicab in which she was a passenger when the cab was brought to a sudden stop by the driver. She and her husband brought this suit for damages against Toye Bros. Yellow Cab Company, a partnership, and the individual members thereof.
