In 1950 appellant was injured in a collision involving a bus owned by the Capital Transit Company. Suit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia against the company. Settlement was negotiated between Richard Turner, supervisor of the company's adjustments, and appellant's then attorney, now deceased. A compromise settlement of $20,000 was made.
