Ferriel M. Barnett, a car inspector and repairman employed by the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis, an interstate carrier, was injured on December 29, 1950, when he was struck on one knee by the end of an air hose coupling which suddenly came apart. He brought this action under the Federal Employers' Liability Act, 45 U.S.C.A. § 51 et seq., for damages, upon the claim that the accident and his injuries were caused by the negligence...
