Appellant, Mrs. Helen Dean Wells, was legally adopted by Miss Sarah E. J. Cartmell at the time when Mrs. Wells was about 11 years old, and lived with Miss Cartmell and Miss Cartmell's then husband, until she was about 13 years old, at which time, for reasons of her own Miss Sarah E. J. Cartmell sent Mrs. Wells back to Mrs. Wells' relatives, and thereafter, for the remaining 31 years of Miss Cartmell's life...
